The Nevada Pest Management Association was founded in 2007 (as the Nevada Pest Control Association) establishing a coalition of dedicated pest management professionals, allied for the promotion of service excellence and an increased awareness of the changing environment of Nevada’s pest management industry. Since our founding each new group of elected officers has striven to build upon the ideals, relationships and foundations of their predecessors. Some of these early foundations include; the Nevada Emergency Bee Hotline, the go to resource for any bee emergency in Nevada; the Nevada Pest Management Magazine, the only regional publication that reaches every licensed pest management company in Nevada; and the Nevada Pest Expo, our yearly continuing education seminar and trade show event.
The NVPMA is constantly searching for fresh ideas, growth opportunities and ways to build a better support system for our members. We do this by adhering the mission of the NVPMA, to protect pest management professionals’ rights to operate efficient and profitable businesses, to assist in improving the quality of services provided by our members to consumers, and to create ongoing opportunities for continuing education in the field of pest management. Recently the NVPMA has experienced a surge of growth which saw the addition of a board of directors, the formation of several member-lead committees, the implementation of a mentorship program, the creation of our Business Workshop Series, the introduction of our annual sporting tournament event and the creation of the NVPMA Legal Defense Fund.
The Nevada Pest Management Association’s mission is to protect pest management professionals’ rights to operate efficient and profitable businesses in Nevada, to assist in improving the quality of services provided by our members to consumers, and to create ongoing opportunities for continuing education in the field of pest management.
